Fresno Council of Child Abuse Prevention Presents: Internet Safety Risks: Online Predators, Cyberbullying & Sexting This innovative presentation utilizes the latest statistics, online resources, videos, and expert tips to educate, engage, and empower parents about their child’s safety both on and offline. This workshop is about understanding and preventing the following online risks in minors:

  • Online predators: Myths, predator profile, victim profile, grooming, and what parents can do.
  • Posting personal or inappropriate information online and its effects: Oversharing personal information online, how posting personal photos online can affect the future and tips to help parents.
  • Sexting: Prevalence, why teens are sexting, consequences and what parents can do.
  • Cyberbullying: Statistics, real-life stories, suicides related to cyberbullying, signs that a teen is being cyberbullied and tips to help parents.
The final part of this presentation discusses technological solutions that parents can use for monitoring these online issues and tips for keeping children safer on-line. ]]>
